We would like to invite you on our journey as we apply the perennial philosophy of alchemy to the romantic ideals of food and drink service (alchemy = seeking to transform base material into gold and to discover a life prolonging elixir).

In applying this philosophy to cooking we therefore have an art that is free and full of endless possibilities and which ensures the marriage of food and drink remains a continual exploration.

The Lower House aims to create a synergy between bar and restaurant and our menus are structured accordingly, catering for nibbles through to a full dining experience, along with continually evolving wine and cocktail lists.

An emphasis is placed on providing service outside the norm and as such the dining experience is available for the entirety of our working day (and even outside of our regular days subject to group numbers):

• Tuesday-Thursday 4pm-late
• Friday 12pm-2am
• Saturday 4pm-2am
• Other times by appointment

To accommodate your needs we strongly encourage dining bookings (particularly for later night slots). We are also happy to reserve your favourite lounge, seated or bar areas whether for food, drinks, or both.

The Lower House can provide an intimate space for just a few friends through to larger scale, entire venue events. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and are happy to work with you to customise food and drink lists for your specific occasion.
